Rates verified 2026-07-24. Every figure below includes Ontario HST at 13%, charged on the accommodation, the cleaning fee and the waiver alike.
One rate, no haggling
The same nightly rate whatever the length of stay, and the same total you would pay on a platform — less their service fee. There is no volume discount to ask about and nothing held back for people who push.
A worked example
A week in season
Seven nights, CA $614.72 a night all in. Nothing is added at checkout — no service fee, no booking fee. A 30% deposit of CA $1,290.91 holds the dates and the balance is due 30 days before you arrive. A refundable CA $500.00 hold is taken at check-in; it is not part of this total and is not taxed.
Availability
Every booking is confirmed by a human
The Wolf Den is also listed on Airbnb and Vrbo, and those calendars take a few hours to tell each other about a new booking. Rather than pretend that gap does not exist, we do not offer instant booking. You send your dates, we check all three calendars properly, and we come back to you the same day.
It means a short wait. It also means you will never get an email saying your confirmed booking was a mistake.

Worth knowing
Seasons and changeover
Peak season — Friday to Friday, in whole weeks
Through the Victoria Day long weekend through Thanksgiving, weeks run Friday to Friday. That is how the cottage stays continuously booked without a changeover landing on a weekend.
Off-season — 7-night minimum, departing Monday to Friday
Arrive any weekday, not just Friday. Departures are Monday to Friday. Our cleaner does not work weekends, so a Saturday or Sunday check-out is the one thing we cannot do.
Short gaps between bookings
If a hole opens up between two stays we will sell it below the minimum, at 15% off, provided it still ends on a weekday. Ask — or watch this calendar.
Winter is three bedrooms, not five
In winter only the main cottage is available — three bedrooms, not five. The bunkie is closed for the season, and the driveway is plowed only as far as the garage.
Check-in / check-out
4:00 pm and 11:00 am. Tell us if you need flexibility and we will try.
Paying and cancelling
How it works
You send dates, we confirm
No payment is taken until we have confirmed the dates are genuinely open.
A deposit holds it
Paid by card. The balance is due before you arrive — we will tell you exactly when.
A short rental agreement
House rules, cancellation terms and a waiver, accepted at booking. Nothing surprising in it.
Damage cover
A small damage waiver is included in your total, and we take a modest refundable hold at check-in. Full terms come with the agreement.
