Year-round
The main cottage
About 1,600 square feet on a single level, with three bedrooms, the one bathroom, a full kitchen and a living room built around the wood stove. A sun room opens off the master — and from outside, so you can get to it without walking through the bedroom. Heat pump for air conditioning in July and heat in October, with the wood stove for when you want it.
Bedroom 1
1 king
The master. A sun room opens off it, and from outside too.
Bedroom 2
Queen-over-queen bunk
Two queen sleeping surfaces.
Bedroom 3
Full-over-full bunk
Two double sleeping surfaces.

Summer only
The bunkie
A separate building across the yard with two more queen bedrooms and a lounge holding a foosball table and an arcade machine. It has its own portable air conditioning and a baseboard heater. Guests with teenagers tend to put them out here, and everybody seems happy with that arrangement.
There is no bathroom in the bunkie — it is a short walk across the lawn to the one in the main cottage. Worth knowing before you decide who sleeps where.
Bedroom 4
1 queen
Summer only
Bedroom 5
1 queen
Summer only
If you need more
- 2 queen sofa beds — one in the main cottage, one in the bunkie
- 1 futon in the sun room

Booking in winter? In winter only the main cottage is available — three bedrooms, not five. The bunkie is closed for the season, and the driveway is plowed only as far as the garage.
Beds and bedding
Are linens and towels included?
Towels are — bath towels, hand towels, face cloths, kitchen towels and dish cloths are all provided, so you do not need to pack any. Bed linens are not included by default: the cottage runs on a private well and septic system, and laundering seven beds of bedding every turnover is more than they can comfortably take. Every bed has a clean mattress protector and pillows are provided, so you are welcome to bring your own bedding. If you would rather not pack it, we will make up any bed for $15 — fitted sheet, duvet, duvet cover and pillow covers. All seven beds is $105. Just let us know how many beds at least 48 hours before you arrive.
Every bed is an Endy mattress, and comfort is the single most repeated compliment in our reviews — four separate guests have mentioned it unprompted.
Getting around inside
Is it wheelchair accessible or step-free?
Partly, and here is the honest picture. The main cottage is single level — once you are inside, the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen are all step-free on smooth flooring, and the front yard runs flat down to the lake with no stairs. The front entry has a landing of about four inches, and a ramp is available on request — just ask when you book. The limitations: the driveway final hill is steep, the bathroom is a standard cottage bathroom rather than a barrier-free one, and the bunkie is a separate building across the yard.
